Every student appearing for MPPSC prelims is always nervous, irrespective of whether it is their first attempt or not. Although preparation for MPPSC is a long and meticulous process, however, there are still a few last minute tips and mistakes to be avoided which could help a student to secure better marks and a higher chance of selection.

1)Focus: First and foremost, nervous energy and jitters never play well with such competitive examinations. It is essential to make sure that you are completely calm and centered before writing your exam. Students often claim to have a buzzing feeling in their head during the test, especially when the last few moments in the clock approaches, this does nothing but disorientate them. So close your eyes take a deep breath and prepare your mind to focus on nothing but the task in hand.

2) Avoid multitasking: It is of vital significance to direct all your concentration on one thing at a time. Trying to read a question while filling in an OMR circle or vice- versa can result in you mishandling both the questions, costing you valuable scores.

3) Use the elimination process: Very often when a student does not know the answer to a question, the immediate response is to panic. Instead of entering a state of turmoil what you should do is carefully examine the given question and study every option firmly. Eliminate the choices you think are incorrect and opt for the most closely related option. Once you have the answer move on to the next question, do not linger on your answer for a very long time or over-analyze your choice.

4) Keep your OMR sheet clean: Avoid keeping your answer sheet directly on the table in case it stains on anything that might be on the surface. Also, another major thing to dodge is to prevent your OMR sheet from getting folded or imprinted from the pressure of your hand and the table top corner. Doing so can lead to the paper getting rejected by the board.

5) Believe in yourself: Perhaps the most important point to remember while appearing for any competitive examination is to have faith in your ability and preparation. do not doubt yourself and be confident while marking an answer you know you have studied before. Do not be paranoid because it will not help you.

Following these points along with thorough practice and preparation MPPSC aspirants can secure better grades and a higher chance of selection.

We extend our heartiest wishes and good luck towards you and hope you find success in all your endeavors.
